Spewing Camp Branch Refuse The Spewing Camp Branch Refuse AML Project completed reclamation on a 60-acre coal refuse dump that had been abandoned since 1974. Rock Creek Rock Creek is a beautiful stream that flows through southwestern McCreary County. As its name implies it is strewn with magnificent boulders, riffles and races all of which led to its designation as a Kentucky Wild River. Pleasant View Mine Pleasant View Mine - OSM National Award Winner - During February 1998, the Kentucky Division of Abandoned Mine Lands (DAML) initiated the largest reclamation project ever conducted by the commonwealth.
Green Coal This 42-acre area surface mine permit is located near the community of Panther in southwest Daviess County, Kentucky. It was issued to Green Coal Co. on Nov. 25, 1992, and was forfeited on May 12, 1999.
Dawson Daylight Refuse Dawson Daylight Refuse is located in southwestern Hopkins County, just outside of the city of Dawson Springs. The area had seen considerable coal mining activity with the new Dawson Daylight Mine operating at this site until 1961.
Joshco Mining Bond Forfeiture Reclamation Group XXIII in Madisonville consisted of one permit, Joshco Mining Corp. - permit number 016-0024.
Pruden - Fonde Located in the Back Creek watershed in Bell County, Kentucky the Pruden – Fonde Reclamation Project was a 50-acre complex of abandoned coal refuse piles, slurry ponds, mine seeps and landslides.
